1. Should I workout in an empty stomach or not?
Yes, you should do your first cardio on an empty stomach. This workout should be 45 min long (maximum) If you plan to continue with more exercise than a small meal is recommended, have an apple or a protein shake handy to give your body quick nutrients.
2. If I workout in the afternoon how long do I need to wait to go workout?
It’s recommended for you to wait 3h after you have ate a big meal before you go and hit the cardio or weights.
3. Can I eat after 6:00pm?
It’s recommended to eat your last meal of the day 3h before going to bed.
4. Can I eat carbs in the afternoon?
If you are planning on losing weight and burn fat then NO.
eat good complex carbs at your breakfast and your lunch (sweet potatoes, squash, pumpkin, brown rice, wild rice, lentils, oatmeal, beans) For dinner eat only 4 oz of clean protein (for females) like chicken or turkey breast, or 8 oz of white fish with many veggies (those are carbs too)
5. What is the difference between the fruit sugar and the regular sugar?
White sugar doesn’t have the fibre, antioxidants and vitamins you would get from fruits. The regular sugar will dramatically alter your blood sugar /insulin levels in a different way than a fruit would because of the rate at which the sugar is metabolized in your body. The white sugar always comes in high quantities and even if you eat a stick of sugar cane it will never contain as much sugar as you can eat in a soda for example. If you refined the sugar from a fruit and stripped away all the fiber, vitamins and minerals and you just left the fruit sugar it would be just as BAD as white sugar.
6. Can I eat fruit all day long?
No, you need to eat everything in moderation, especially fruit. 1 cup is the recommended portion. If you are concerned with your weight, consuming too much fruit may contribute to weight gain or hinder weight loss. If you are watching your weight take caution of fruit. Try to have it only at breakfast or mid morning snack, it’s very good to put 1 TBSP of Raw almond butter to your fruit.
7. Can I drink cold beverages while eating?
Ice water can be harmful to drink while you are eating because interferes with your digestive process. This can slow down your body’s proper digestive actions. The body wants to warm up the cold liquid that just got inside and this energy will take energy away from the task that the stomach is doing which is digesting your food.
The best thing to do is to drink beverages at room temperature or a little warm like tea, never Iced cold.
8. How do I know my fat burning zone?
An easy way to calculate your FAT BURNING ZONE is:
take your age
subtract 220
multiply the result by 0.70 and 0.85 to know your target fat burning zone.
9. How do I know my MAX capacity?
