As an Esthetician I get asked this question often: How can I get rid of the blackheads on my face?
Well, based on my years of experience and all the skin treatments that I have performed, black heads are the result of the excess of oil production by your sebaceous glands. This oil mixes with make up, daily environmental dirt, and by you touching your face all day, and adds up more congestion.
Have you noticed that one of the biggest habits of people is to touch their nose, chin or forehead all day long? An average person touches their face about 3 to 5 times per minute!
I have these tips that can help you keep a clean face in between your professional skin care treatments:
1. Wash your face every day with the right facial cleanser for your skin type.
2. Exfoliate your skin in daily basis using a gentle exfoliant or the amazing Clarisonic Brush, this brush generates waves that creates a milking effect on the folicle, really cleaning and draining the pore from inside out.
3. Get Profesional Skin care services, such a deep pore cleansing facial.
4. If you need to do your own extractions at home, make sure your face is clean, your fingers are covered with tissue paper to prevent your finger nails from hurting your skin, get a Magnification L.E.D. Lit Flip Vanity Mirror
and start squizing pore by pore. Make sure to use moderate pressure to avoid bruising your skin.
Remember to change the tissue as the oil starts to come out from the skin.
5. When done, rinse your face again with your facial cleanser and apply a moisturizer all over your face and acne medication (with Benzoyl Peroxide) if necessary.
